Dear Members,

We have all felt a slight chill in the air, stepped on the first of the season’s dewy grass, enjoyed some well deserved Indian Summer days recently and now it is all hands on deck for a very busy period ahead of us which promises to be a lot of fun if we all pull in the same direction!

Rehearsals for ‘Happy as a Sandbag’ are well underway and apart from the usual glitches, Mike is very pleased with progress so far although trying to organise everyone to attend the right rehearsal at the right time is similar to holding an executive post at Heathrow’s air traffic control tower.
Cyn Jean & Anne are already making inroads in the costume dept. making us feel quite confident that we will all ‘look the part’.

Set-building dates are commencing on Sunday 11th October (9am) and as many hands make light work we would love to see as many of you as possible, tool boxes at the ready.

This time it is 'Treasure Island'. Scripts will be available from 22nd September. Playreading:
Due to the rather hectic schedule of events ahead of us it has been decided that ‘social play-readings’ will commence again in February when we all experience more of a lull.
