Long John Silver and his crew of assorted pirates may be dastardly villains, but they’ve reckoned without the Ladies of the Smugglers Cove Women’s Institute, who all want to be in panto this year!
Cue total chaos and lots of comedy. Expect cake baking, spotted dick and an ageing parrot who just wants to sit on Long John Silver’s shoulder.
Roles include: Mrs Hawkins, Jim Hawkins, Kittie, Squire Trelawney, Jenny Trelawney, Long John Silver, Billy Bones, Ben Gunn, Polly the parrot, a band of ferocious pirates, members of the Smuggler’s Cove WI, lads and lasses from the Admiral Benbow Inn, and chorus roles.
There are speaking and non-speaking parts available, with opportunities for performers aged 11 and over. Several roles can also be doubled, so there is plenty of scope for a lively cast.
