WELCOME TO EWHURST PLAYERS
Theatre at the heart of our community — and beyond
Based in Ewhurst Village Hall, at the foot of the beautiful Surrey Hills, Ewhurst Players are proud to be part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — and an active part of the local and
county-wide theatre scene.
We stage two plays a year, along with either a traditional family pantomime or a
large-scale musical, and our productions regularly sell out. As members of NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association), we’ve earned multiple awards, including recent Accolades of Excellence for The Importance of Being Earnest, Quartet, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Currently in rehearsal is It’s a Wonderful Life, adapted from the classic film, and in
May 2026, we bring you the iconic musical Fiddler on the Roof.
Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or in the audience — there’s a place for everyone at
Ewhurst Players.

EWHURST PLAYERS HISTORY
Ewhurst Players began in 1937, were revived in 1962, and reformed in 1973 — with our first show in the current era staged in 1974. We celebrated our 50th anniversary last year.
In that time, we've produced nearly 100 plays, 40 pantomimes, several musicals and revues, and earned multiple NODA awards. We've also marked national milestones with special shows like 1066 and All That, Where Poppies Grow, and Majesty.
Our sell-out performances have drawn thousands to Ewhurst Village Hall, helping us support local charities, upgrade the venue, and invest in new equipment.
Ewhurst Players is an Equal Opportunities society.
